Just a quick update…

I spent most of my time this week with a friend helping an elderly friend from church.

This took long hours. The first day was 12 hours. We arrived at her home at 11 and finally saw her settled in a hospital room about 1030 that night. (By the end the staff was calling us the church ladies)
I am exhausted.
Plus we had a game night with friends last night.
Added to that insomnia, so no really quality sleep…
Last night was my first decent night of sleep all week!
Today is finishing the cleaning I didn’t get to for guests last night.

The elder lady is now safe in a long term care facility of good reputation.

My hope is to be back Monday with regular blog posts.
Scenes and dolly goodness!

Melissa and Doug Furniture

Gifts!
My darling husband bought me a couple of gifts.

Melissa and Doug wooden livng room set.

M&D kitchen set.

He was thinking of these for the Barbie houses.
Hmmm let’s see…
First of all, let me be clear. I am a professional when it comes to toys. As a professional, M&D is the best toy company out there. Yes I love Barbie. However, the quality of M&D toys is unmatched.

These furniture sets are hand crafted of solid wood.
Now if you ever want to see what that means, really, do this.
Put a M&D wooden puzzle beside a wooden puzzle by any other manufacturer. You will instantly notice the difference.

Ok now lets open these play sets so I can set them up!

First the kitchen set.

Check out this stove!

Burners! An oven

A broiler drawer!

Side by side fridge.

Check out the shelves!

Sink!

The doors even open.

The faucets even look real

A hutch. I have wanted one of these for my kitchen for years!

Table and chairs.

Child size in a Barbie house… might work for the Chelsea dolls…

Now for the living room set.

This curio cabinet reminds me of the one I have.

The simple but pretty coffee table has a drawer.

A side table.

Two easy chairs and an ottoman.

The couch with cushions.

Chelsea might invite Barbie in for tea…
Set up on their display shelf.

These pieces are made for this doll set and this doll house.
One of these days I may actually have the set.

In any case, Beloved has excellent taste in toys!
Hugs y’all!

Well I am Back… I think…

This post I will write about the thrift finds.

I had a blonde on of these dolls but she only had her odd outfit. Now this doll is complete for the most part. It makes more sense! Olympic ice skating Barbie!

This one, I love the dress. It needs leggings or something!

This one, I love this face Not overly made up and just a bit flirty. I need to find her a pastel dress to match her earrings. Though the crochet dress is nice.

Belle’s Prince! I even hav the pants with the beast feet!

What is it about Rapunzel’s gown I can’t resist? This young lass’s lip gloss does match the strings…

Here we have a… dr? Vet? With beach feet.

Another, I think, Bride doll. Now if I could just find my bag of wedding dresses…

Plus a lot of misc.

Check out the tiny cassette tapes!

Then there are these 2 dolls. I knew they were not Barbie.

This brunette is dressed as Belle.

She has a secret! Her hair is a wig!

This blonde I had to get for the dress!

She is also wearing a wig!

These are Liv dolls. They, like some others, remind me of marionettes from old tv shows.
I like the faces.
