Just like the folks who think I am Miss Maggie, and Baptist they are wrong.
I am an independent, and until a few months ago I was undecided. Well probably only 2 months, I run my days together badly.
I knew I did not want Hilary. I actually liked Thompson and Huckabee best. (One is a fantastic actor, much like my beloved Reagan, the other lost over 100 lbs, something Beloved and I are working on ourselves! Both are solid Christians)
I thought about voting for Obama. However I didn’t know much about him. So I began listening. Some think I listen only to the conservative pundits. Some are again wrong.
I heard Obama say a woman should not be punished with a child… God says children are blessings.
Obama says killing infants, before and just after birth is ok. God says Deuteronomy 30:19 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=5&chapter=30&verse=19&version=31&context=verse)
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live
Obama says gay marriage is ok, and should be the law of the land. Every one deserves to be happy right? God says
1 Cor. 6:8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers.
9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Obama says share the wealth. This engenders greed, see above verse on greed. However God also addresses this directly as well.

McCain says marriage is between a man and a woman.
God says: Gen 2:18 It is not good for man to be alone I will make a helpmeet for him. 21 and the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the Adam and he slept and he (the Lord) took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh there of. 22 and the rib which the Lord God had taken from man made He a woman and brought her to the man.
McCain says set taxes lower so business will flourish and jobs will be created.
God says. Mark 12: 13And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
14And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

McCain says he is a man who has made mistakes. He says he has turned to Christ as his Savior.

There are many more scriptures I could use to show my position. These should be sufficient starting places for others to study on their own though.
Many people will be insulted, perhaps even offended because I back my vote with my Faith. They will call me uneducated, say I am listening to “the wrong” people. That is fine. I am listening and measuring what these men who would lead me say, by God’s word in HIS book. To do anything else, to listen to anything else, is in fact listening to the wrong people.
There is a choice. The Bible is very clear. Either you are with God or against Him. Mat. 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.
