Nothing exciting seems to happen around here. I think that is in general a good thing.
My days involve work, selling toys if folks come in. lately not so many folks have come in. I worked Saturday for the first time in ages. To hear my boss tell it Saturday is back to back sales... not so much. I did like having a coworker there too and cleaning got done that we can not get to going solo. Decent sales got done but I was not impressed myself.
I was too tired to get to much at home work that afternoon. I was also very glad I had thought ahead and done our work duds on Friday. The kitchen was clean and ready for me to fix supper.
Sunday was busy, and usually I try not to do anything on Sunday. However bread needed baking, and breakfast, then there was dinner. With dishes spread out in between.
Breakfast we eat in the morning, lunch is sometime between 12 and 2 and supper is our evening meal. Dinner is between lunch and supper and takes the place of both. On Sundays we usually have dinner not lunch and supper.
It has been cool lately, yay! No Acs! I hate Ac but I also can not stand high heat, dry or not. Folks think San Angelo has dry heat. Some days yes some days no, we do have 2 lakes, and a big river that weaves its way through town.
I am tired today, and while I will miss the extra pay I have gotten lately, I will be glad for my 4 or 3 day weeks to return. My home looks as if I have abandoned it and I lately have just been to tired or busy to care. Well no that is not right, I do care it is driving me nuts, I am just to tired or busy to fix it.
Some things we have discovered, I can be a good cook when I put my mind to it. :jumping-smiley-017: Beloved says he loves eating at Mel's Place! LOL I do love to cook. I am rediscovering how much!
I have also discovered that I REALLY do not like leaving home. I am happier and more productive when I have a few days home that when I dash off to town everyday.
I looked outside yesterday and saw the last of the summer blooms, they are weeds to others, wild flowers, planted by God to me. I have been more and more seeing His hand in things. He is here and I feel His closeness more now that I have ever before.
Well work is waiting, both here and in town. See you tomorrow!
hugs y'all:party-smiley-042:
PS I am working on memorizing scriptures. This one is first on my list.
Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
